This talk is for parents and professionals in kindergarten or school who care for children who struggle with:

  • Emotional outbursts and aggressive behavior (hitting, biting, kicking, shouting)?
  • Escalating conflicts that are hard to calm?
  • Strong, long-lasting reactions that are easily triggered?
  • High frustration, frequent irritability, or social difficulties?
  • Arguments and conflicts with siblings, friends, or adults happen all too often.

And its also for you if you experience:

  • Everyday situations are stressful and conflict prone.
  • You become frustrated, stressed, angry or withdrawn yourself.

This talk will introduce you to the PLS Framework, a set of practical models that provides clarity, structure, and skills for providing developmentally supportive leadership, conflict resolution and regulation-support before, during and after these moments. The overall aim is to support the child’s self-regulation, emotional, social and cognitive development of the child, starting with the adults.

The PLS (Positive Learning Spirals) Framework is a structured and highly practical set of educational models developed to support adults—both parents and professionals—in moments of conflict, emotional escalation, and relational breakdown with children. It helps transform challenging situations into opportunities for learning, growth, and stronger relationships.

The framework also supports learning and long-term developmental processes for both children and adults. It fosters collaboration not only between adults and children, but also among adults—whether as co-parents or as colleagues in kindergartens and schools. By promoting shared understanding, team support, and collaborative learning, the PLS Framework helps reduce stress, prevent burnout, and contribute to a more resilient and developmentally supportive culture in families and educational settings.

In this talk, you will learn:

  • The types of challenging situations the PLS Framework typically is used for
  • An overview of the five phases of the PLS Model
  • An overview of the theoretical base of the PLS Framework
  • How the PLS approach supports both emotion regulation and long-term development
  • How PLS integrates trauma-sensitive, developmentally-supportive, and practical tools
  • How the PLS framework supports cooperation and support among adults, when beeing used as shared practical and mental models for planning, coordinated action and reflection.
  • Examples of real-world experiences from parents, kindergartens, and schools
  • How you can learn more and get started with the PLS framework.

When you sign up you will also receive a copy of the PLS model.
